The Weir Link has a history of working with a wide range of highly committed and dedicated volunteers and the beginning of the year is a perfect time to start!
Roz Thornton has just arrived as the Weir Link’s new Volunteer Development Manager. Roz knows the area well having spent a long period working close by at Clapham Park Project. Roz says ‘People volunteer for all sorts of reasons: to meet new friends, improve employment prospects or just to give something back to the community’. Whatever your motivation – The Weir Link want to hear from you!
Over the next few months Roz will be developing a package of training, guidance, recruitment and a range of projects for volunteers to get involved with. Her vision is to create a strong team of volunteers who will be valued, respected and rewarded for their efforts.
If you are thinking about volunteering or want to find out more, drop into The Weir Link centre on any Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday between 10am and 4pm to speak to Roz or call her on 020 8675 2481, or drop her an email at Roz.Thornton@theweirlink.org
Current volunteer opportunities include:
